Grid-scale battery storage
50 MWh battery plant providing grid stability to the UK National Grid
A grid-scale battery energy storage system delivering fast frequency-response services (FFR, Dynamic Containment, Moderation and Regulation) to the UK National Grid. Dillen led the project management — coordinating design, performance and compliance to keep the asset delivering reliable returns while supporting grid stability.

Oil, gas & heavy industry
LV switchgear and motor installations for a refinery
After a 25-year-old motor-control centre was found with degraded busbar insulation, Dillen designed a replacement LV MCC — busbar, cable and fuse sizing, equipment selection and specifications — to BS EN 60947, BS EN 60439 and BS 7671. Related refinery work included installing new 3.3 kV pump motors to meet international marine-fuel (IMO) emissions regulations.

Utility-scale solar
33 MWp solar PV plant, Australia
As lead electrical engineer within the EPC, Dillen delivered the electrical design for a 33 MWp solar plant under Australia's stringent grid-connection requirements — mastering an unfamiliar standards regime to meet the client's requirements on time.
